Hello everyone I am new here but I didn't see this one addressed anywhere, sorry if this is a duplicate.

I know the H3 has the same platform and comes with an elocker in both the front and the rear. From what I have been able to find the H3 also uses the AAM 800 rear end, although it is a little wider. I think the e locker is made by eaton but like the g80 is pretty much only available through GM and not from eaton (it is not on eaton's application guide). I have been trying very unsuccessfully to find a locker for my Colorado and have noticed several others with the same problem. Has anyone tried to use the H3's e locker for the Colorado? I imagine it would only be available through GM (Hummer) as a replacement part which could be expensive but there aren't many other options.

Anyone tried it or have any more information about the H3's locker?

Rangerbob will be able to confirm; if I remember correctly, someone over on CFans swapped out the front diff in his truck for the H3 e-locker. Said the swap wasn't too hard; came back later on and said it wasn't worth it. Don't know if he was disappointed in the performance or what.

The GMT345 uses the AAM860. eLocker for the rear of the H3 will not work.

*Correction - the V8 GMT355 have the AAM860 rear. They could use it.

Since the H3 has both the 4.10 gears and e locker anyone have any ideas if it would be an easy switch to put the H3 rear end in the colorado? I know it's a little wider but would the brackets line up?

would it work if you swapped an h3 pcm that goes with the diff and rear end?

or..... what if you swapped over a 355 crew cab body onto an h3 chassis.... you would have to do some modification to fit the box on but it should line up. thats a bit more radical idea...

All you need to control the eLocker is a switch and power supply. BCM isn't necessary. Given that we can swap the GMT345 leaf packs into our trucks I'd guess that the AAM860 would swap. Except for being wider by a couple inches.
