Ok I know some of you guys know how to convert them shits I need some help.

I cannot shorten my rear axle. Therefore I do have to go with a billet will. No biggie right? Wrong.

Today I discovered my wheels are only 2" and 2 1/2" from my frame! I have ZQ8s 17X8.

Well I am worried buying a wheel with a big backspace. The ZQ8s are a 18mm offset right? They rub the fenders and I need about a inch off of those or better.

Can anyone figure up what a 20x8 wheel backspacing would be to clear?

Thanks guys this has been a headache.

if the zq8s are 17x8 with a +18 offset and you need to move them more positive towards the frame an entire inch you simply add 1" to the offset since the width doesnt change. 1" is approximately 25.4mm. so you need like a +43mm offset.

So it won't rub the frame right?

I believe a inch is all I will need to clear the fenders cause it doesn't rub BAD BAD just when I go super low.

if this helps, my wheels that i just ordered are 20/8.5 with 6 1/4 backspacing, no shortening of the rear end was done, they will clear the frame rail and fenders. If your looking for off the shelf wheels I believe a 40+ offset will work.

I'm pretty sure the ZQ8 wheels are a 17x8" +28. I know they're 8" wide, but I'm not 1000000% sure on the offset.

It is for sale. You want?

No one has bought it so I am still slowly piecing it together. I just order ball joints and some other shits.

If you pull your center cap off your wheel. GM as seen fit to stamp the offset right in the front of the wheel. If also think that the zq8 wheels are 8" inches wide with a 27mm offset. Hope this helps.

given the 28 mm offset the backspacing would be roughly 5.35"

add the extra inch and you'll have 6.35" backspacing

edited for 1" information...

Hey Brian.

What about a 20X8.5 with a +45mm offset.

That sounds about right that should tuck eh? With no rubbage?

I come up with like a 6.03 or so backspace am I correct?

According to my figures these would tuck and not rub.

7.5" Backspace on a 10" wheel.

I need atleast 6.00 or better on a 8.5" that's 1.5 ".....

Maybe it would work....But since the wheel is a 10" it might rub my frame!

NO BUENO!

You said you had 2" between he current setup and the frame, it might fit you just wouldn't be able to hit sides without hitting the notch. I knew the 10" would be close, but just figured I'd throw it out there because they're the sex! :naughty:
