haven't been on here for a while. times flies when you're in afghanistan. so i'm looking to raise my zq8 just a teensy bit more when i get back. i got 255/55/18 (29") right now but i know i can get a 31.5" 285/60/18, in there. i've been in germany so i've been running street tires. i wanna go with the nitto terra grapplers. not gonna off road, i just like the look. i can get z85 spindles and leafs for $150. i think that plus my front smaxx and rear shackles should be enough, right? at one point i had my truck up 21 inches all the way around, but it was too high to align. i got the front down to about 19 inches and the back at 20. would the .5 in the z85 spindle add a lot? are the nitto's enough of a tread to start to think about changing the steering rack? should i just get a 4 inch Rancho Suspension Lift Kit RS6569B? can that kit even go on a zq8? i got about 6 months before i get back, so i got time put away some funds to start my, "tufff ride, bro!" campaign. yup. there were three f's in tufff.

Don't know about all your questions but I have Z85 spindles I'll trade you straight across if your interested?

Can't use Rancho or any other sub frame lift kit on a truck with coil springs.

3" spindles should fit 31's easy .. eBay has them for cheap but you will need longer brake lines I think

Yes, you may need longer brakelines.

dang, a swap would be cool, but i guess i'll just put the three inch spindles on there. you'd have to wait till i get back next year anyways. but i'll hit you up when i take mine off.

thank you sir. :thumbup: i'll be moving up to 275/65/18. i'll have some work to do when i get back. i'll get pics on the install for the 3 inch spindles. i guess i'll need to sell my 18's i have now and my stock zq8 17's. can't have all that mess in the garage.
