Hello

My headlamp switch on my 04 Colorado is a bit flakey and from what I've read it may need to be replaced. The part is cheap enough, but it looks like most of the dash must come out in order to free it from its spot. Has anybody replaced their switch? If so, did the whole dash come out or were you able to just loosen it up enough to swap out the switch module?

Thanks!

Here's the procedure:
HEADLAMP SWITCH REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

  1. Remove the knee bolster trim panel.

  1. Remove the screw retaining the switch to the instrument panel (I/P).
  2. Partially remove the switch from the I/P.
  3. Disconnect the switch electrical connector.
  4. Remove the switch from the vehicle.

Thank you! I was hoping it was not too invasive.
