I wonder if this would work for our trucks?

CABIN AIR FILTER FITTING GUIDE 2008 to 2012 Holden Colorado Ute This kit allows you to convert earlier model Holden Colorado to accept a Cabin Air Filter .Check Video to make sure this is what you have behind the glovebox.
We believe that you should Breathe the Cleanest air possible inside your Vehicle.
Here at Cabin Air Filters Australia, We have taken a whole new approach to Air filtration for the interior of your car.
Our Australian made and designed product, have redefined what a Cabin Air Filter is capable of achieving when compared to currently available filters

Old style pleated 2mm THIN paper or fabric filters only remove dust, pollen and large debris hence the name “pollen filters”.
Some of the newer thin pleated cabin filters have added a small amount of activated carbon added and are an improvement.
Our totally new unique design with over 17mm THICK of activated carbon air-filtering material spread over 3 individual layers. Is a giant leap forward in cabin air filter technology.

Our Cabin Air Filters have a 1st 15 mm Thick layer of air filter sponge which is 100% coated in activated carbon this layer traps allergy-causing particles such as pollen, dust, fungus spores and is the first layer of noxious odour absorption. It also has precision cut pockets on the top surface to trap leaves and larger debris.
The 2nd Two layers of much finer non woven material also 100% carbon coated traps and absorbs other very dangerous microscopic particles such as Bacteria, Air born heavy metals and also protection from harmful gases such as exhaust and ozone.
Providing the best protection possible from them entering your vehicles interior ventilation system.

HOLDEN RODEO 2003 -2008 HOLDEN COLORADO RC 2008-2012 ISUZU DMAX 2008 -2012 (please check behind glovebox before ordering there is a few model variation that don't have a spot for a cabin filter) Cabin Air Filter is AVAILABLE from our website at this LINK Cabin Air Filters | Isuzu Dmax Cabin Air Filter 2008-2011
Please check Cabin Filter dimensions before ordering (if possible) as filters sizes change on certain models, if in any doubt please feel free to contact us.

It might be possible, but consider the fact that on trucks produced for the Australian market, the HVAC is configured opposite to left hand drive. In that video it was easy to determine where to cut the case. Our cases don't look the same.

With that said, someone should try it.

The airbox is certainly going to be different with the Holden's being right-hand drive. I don't think I'd want to take the chance cutting mine open. If someone had a spare from a junker it be interesting to cut one up to see if it would work.

That said, I still want one of those locking glove box doors...

I've always wanted an in cabin air filter. I travel off road a lot in a convoy and it produces a lot of dust. My air vents look like someone punched a sweeper bag every time I turn on the hvac.

I always keep my eye out for a junk Colorado when I'm at a junk yard. I would like to give this a try if I can find one to experiment with. I'm also apprehensive to cut mine up without testing it first. Believe it or not I rarely find Colorados at my local pick and pull.

If anyone has a wrecked Colorado and has spare time this would be a cool project.

rshadd - Great find!

I'd like to see the position of the evaporator & heater core and the flap arrangement inside those blower cases.

I wonder if a carbon activated air filter or fine mesh screen would fit over the air intake seal number (4) inside the cowl area?

Cabin air filters are a great innovation!
Makes any vehicle a more pleasant place to be.
Over the years and miles the interior will stay so much cleaner.

Too bad the 355 didn't have one from the factory.
