It’s the vacuum tube that comes out of the rear of the intake manifold supposed to move? This is the further most tune by the firewall. Mine moves. I’m trying to troubleshoot a P0171 code that is haunting me and preventing me from passing Smog. I did try spraying brake cleaner around the tube with the engine running but didn’t notice a difference. I have a 2004 3.5 I5

If I recall correctly from when I pulled my intake manifold off, I believe you're talking about the PCV vent tube. That rubber tube over time absorbs oil and swells around its connection to the valve cover, creating a leak. So "no" its not supposed to move and you should replace it. However, if you can't get to it without moving the intake manifold out of the way, its a major PITA to get the intake loosened up.
