So whomever had my truck before me had some velcro on my console just below the handle. When I bought it, the velcro was dried out and a pain to peel off. What was left was rock hard dried out adhesive.

First question.... What's the best way to remove it? I tried goo gone but it didn't really do anything (I think because it dried out so bad).

Second question... I used some pretty strong 3M adhesive remover (which didn't work) and now that spot is hazy (my console is black). Is there anything I can put on it to restore it back to normal?

I always had good results with 3M Adhesive remover. You may need to let it soak for a while since the adhesive is hard and dried. Apply it with a soft cloth and let it sit for while until the adhesive softens. Covering the area with plastic wrap will help prevent evaporation and speed up the process. You could also try some WD40. I would avoid "Goof-Off" & "Goo-B-Gone" as they can harm plastic.
