I can always remove the sensor and exchange it I guess. Aren’t our fuel filters built into the fuel pump ?

There's a screen (sometimes called a sock) filter attached to the pump that's in the tank, but there's an inline filter back by the tank - replace this one. It looks like a metal can.

Another thought is to make sure your intake manifold bolts are tight, and inspect the air intake plumbing for cracks or loose clamps.

Warning - access to the intake manifold bolts is not easy - you're going through the drivers side wheel well with long ratchet extensions...

I thought the later trucks didn't have the fuel filter. My '09 didn't and I haven't really yet had a reason to do a prolonged check on my '12.
