I put a set of 2x6 KC Hi Lites backup lights on the rear of my truck a while back. I noticed the other day that they really screw up the departure angle ( as in I almost ripped them off ).

I've been thinking about cutting the bumper and mounting them into it instead of below it. Any tips on how to go about this? Cutting shouldn't be too hard ( Dremel! ) but I'm unsure of how to actually mount them to the inside of the bumper.

i would say fab up a bracket that would connect to the bumper brackets or the frame itself. attach the lights that way and just use a huge gasket/o-ring to line the whole you cut for the lights.

i would say use a bi-metal hole saw to get a nice round and perfect hole. use masking tape to cover the surronding area to prevent scratching/chipping of the chrome/paint.
