I've seen a lot of posts on performancetrucks saying this is an awesome cam. No experience with it personally, but the numbers say a high stall converter would be pretty much mandatory.

Not sure why he would need a stall with that.

Sounds to good to be true but based on the rpm curve a stall converter shouldn't be needed unless you wanna be deep in hp before trans comes on

So are you replacing the rockers or valve springs with the swap?

Thats a decent amount of lift

I am looking at a Comp cam 189-400-13
.560/.580 210/224 114 C/L 1500-6600 rpm
they said no converter needed, needs springs, should replace trunnions
and push rods.

Not sure exactly. I'm weighing my options. I figured this cam wasn't that serious. I can swap stock out. Get a little more power and a better sound. Keeping everything stock. Didn't think I need to change anything. But this is why I posted. So I can get info from everyone.

Just do camshaft, pushrods and valve springs I'm at .595 .598 without any rocker arm issues. Theres a lot of people who run that cam with great results.
