I currently receiving low compression in on of my cylinders on my 04 3.5 5cylinder. I hitting a 2400 on all 4 except on which is hitting at 800. I did the compression test myself .I currently rolling into the 168k miles and what’s to see what’s the best solution to get this fixed? Drop new engine? Is it work it? Should I just try and repair hotheadedness cylinder? Price range on that kind of fix.

When doing compression test do it dry first write # down then drop a little oil into spark plug hole write # down.
If it ges up most likely rings. If not then head or valves. This is old school but works.
