Re: Lowering Suspension Products and Part Numbers

When I was Planning on giving my truck a 3"-4" drop and I could not find ANY kind of lowering Kit that would fit My suspension..... Everytime I ran across the desired ride hight that I wanted I was shot down with.....Only Fits Vehicles With Z85 Suspension, Not designed for Sport, Extream or ZQ8. Weak

It does fit -- all the trucks are interchangeable, the only thing is depending on the part, it will lower your ZQ8 (same as the Xtreme) a different amount than claimed. For instance, if you were to replace your stock coils with the Belltech 4203 coils, you would only gain about an 1" - 1.25" of a drop because your stock coils are already an inch lower than the Z85 coils.

And if you wanted a true 2" drop, you'd use the Belltech balljoints and you'd be set.

Post up a new thread and tell us how low you're looking to go and your wheel size and someone will be able to guide you through it all and get you lowered.

Re: Lowering Suspension Products and Part Numbers

depending on the drop. if you want a 1'' drop(dnt see the point) - coils
2'' drop - ball joints
3'' drop - control arms
4'' drop - go ahead and bag it.
btw.
the best is the adjustable coilovers by belltech

Re: Lowering Suspension Products and Part Numbers

If I could do it over, I wouldn't do the balljoints again.

Too much friggin' bump steer!!!!!

They definitely give a softer ride than the 2" coils, but damn that bump steer is a bitch.

If you're looking for a 3" drop, go with the control arms.

And if you have the money, coilovers.
