Missing U shape bolt for running board

Hello I bought some running boards for my truck off craigslist its missing the half U shape bolt in the picture . Wondering if anyone has this or any ideas where i could get it ... I called the dealership they said its discontinued :shrug:

buy a long threaded rod and bend it to the right dimensions. one solution.
