I have a strange intermittent electrical problem in my 2010 Colorado. On cold days (say below 15 degrees F) after running for a few minutes I get warning lights for just about everything (ABS, brake, Traction control, TPM, etc.) and the following things stop working: turn signals, wipers, windows, heater fan, and maybe some other stuff. However the truck continues to run just fine. If I stop, turn the engine off and then start again all is back to normal. Usually if I drive long enough the things will come back to life, but I really can't drive far with no turn signals, wipers, or windows. I have an almost-new battery, and I have cleaned the various grounding points including the ones on the sides of the engine compartment. I took it to a dealer, but they were not able to reproduce the problem, probably because it wasn't cold enough, and they had no advice for me other than to bring it back when it happens again, which is not easy. Anyone out there have advice on this?

Welcome to the Nation.

There don't appear to be any common connections to the cluster lights and the component failures. The warnings and lights in the cluster are turned on by other modules, using the Serial Data Bus. Most of the ABS, Trac, and Brake lights are controlled by the EBCM. The TPMS light is controlled by the BCM. The operation of the turn signals, wipers, and windows is controlled by the BCM. The HVAC compressor is controlled by the BCM/PCM, but the blower motor is controlled by the HVAC module. The HVAC module is not on the Serial Data Bus so a glitch with that bus should not affect blower operation. I know the battery is relatively new, but maybe have it load tested.

The Dealer technicians would have obviously scanned the truck for active or history codes. Did they mention finding anything?

Are there any aftermarket devices (remote start, alarm, head unit, etc) installed in the truck? Anything kept plugged into one of the accessory ports?
