So a few days ago I bought some new pedal plates for my 05 Canyon. The brake pedal is just a rubber slip over cover, but the gas pedal appears to be molded to the pedal arm. The new pedal plates come with brackets to cover the bare pedal, but the brackets aren't big enough. So I figured I could bolt the brake pedal plate to the pedal. But what I wasn't sure about is what I should do with the gas pedal.
The only solution I could think of is using self tapping screws into the molded pedal. But if anyone has any ideas on how to solve this problem I would be greatly appreciative.

I usually drill holes into the stock pedals and use stainless steel bolts to hold it in. Like how your pedals have the homes in thr middle of them that's where I usually bolt them down using one on each side for the brake and one at the top and bottom for the gas. How it makes sense what I'm saying.

Yeah I drilled pilot holes and screwed it in.....been holding strong since 2009
