Hey guys, I need a couple good shots of the side curtain airbags under the a pillar if someone wouldn't mind taking a couple. I don't have them in my truck.

Got something I wanna make

Pop the cover of the airbag access panel...




The bolt is a Hexagon hd., with flat washer, m6x1x20, 9.53 thread, 17 outside diameter, p-point, 9.8, 6280m


Remove the bolt with a 10mm nutdriver.


There's two clips that hold it in place.








This is the driver's side. If you need the passenger side let me know.

Head Curtain Side Airbags (Front and Rear) were a $395 option and became standard in 2010.

That's correct...option in '09, standard starting 2010.

Actually @rshadd, can you just grab one pic of the pass side with the pillar off? I want to see if the sheet metal is mirrored or not.

Awesome...mine are exactly the same, just without the airbags. Is the airbag moveable at all underneath the third clip from the bottom? I want to be able to run a bolt through there.

I don't know and didn't try to move it. I would suspect that it's got to be somewhat moveable.

I have the same suspicions. Well...figured out all the mounting, now I just need to make a piece lol.

@rshadd, thanks for the pictures of the driver side. Now I have a better picture in my head for supermod's voltage cutoff that he offers for the dome light LEDs.

My 2004 has the airbags in the A pillars too.....but not in the rear :shrug:

All three of you guys are ZQ8's...maybe ZQ8's always had them :shrug:

That would explain why my 06 Z71 has all the sheet metal and bolt points for the curtain airbags.
