Hello all, ive been a lurker for a while now lol. Got my 05 colorado bout two months ago and shes been a nice ride ever since lol. Ill fill out my details soon. But anyhow im sitting on 20s, lowered who knows how much, i just know it rubs the top of the fender wells on decent bumps. Anyhow i noticed my speedo has been corrected for the rim change as my speed is right on with my gps. My question is.. is there anyone close to the Knoxville, Tn area who knows these trucks well to do a tune for me? All im looking for is a little more power and turn off VATS. Still running stock everything except for an exhaust. Thanks

There are some good members down that way.

I know @blurred has done remote tunes before, but you would have to discuss it with him
supermod has done me good
limeswap offers mailorder tunes and in person tuning if you are close enough to him. Can't remember if he does remote tunes or not but he is great to work with!
@limequat
Ok and since im new to this lol ill ask a bunch of questions. This is my daily driver and needs to stay dependable. Im not looking for anything wild. Do i want to change the torque settings? Raise idle? lol what are the basics? sorry if im rambling here...

Thanks, Skizzo!

Dubfire, there's a few things that make the truck feel doggy. One is that the rate of throttle opening is limited for emissions. So while your foot may be floored, the actual throttle blade will slowly make its way to WOT. Another is that the programming will generally keep 14.7 AFRs all the way to redline. Not good for power. I normally also increase shift pressure and do a few other tricks for power.

I wouldn't recommend changing the idle unless you currently find it harsh. I can fix tire sizes, turn off DTCs, disable passlock, etc.
Thanks for the explanation! Yes i will definitely need to contact you about getting this done.
You can't go wrong with Jeremy and his tunes. :thumbup:
Supermod/James does great mail order tunes also.
Had mine tuned and it helps a lot the 2 hr drive back home only used 1/4 of a tank compared to 1/2 it used getting to emaxxer
