Okay. We need more info. Like year, exact model, mileage, tranny (auto/manual), and how well your grandpa kept up with preventative maintenance. If a good solid motor, a few bolt on's, plus street tuning, it can be improved on without going inside the motor. Then after you break it, go inside the motor.
