Hello to all I just bought my 2007 Colorado 3.7L crew cab and excited about learning from all of you about this vehicle.
..so far in the past weeks I worked out some resonator and blower motor issues harness etc...BUT NOW I'm having a ground/turn signal issue so far scratching up the paint on engine bay for better ground hasn't worked. So I'm wondering has anyone had to deal with ground issues especially lights and never ending electrical issues.......ANY help/lead to more info is greatly appreciated thanks

You're close, but need to dig a little deeper. The bolts on the inside fender that you're working on attach a little black box. Tiny little thing that has about 6 - 8 black wires going into it. Inside that little box are contacts for all of those wires. The contacts seem to be cheap aluminum or something that tends to corrode. You can try cleaning that up inside. The better, and more permanent solution would be to cut that sucker off and throw it away. Then put ring terminals on all of those wires and connect them to the fender using that same bolt. Also, I've had to replace my rear tail light sockets. My blinker light on the dash turned on every time I pressed the brake pedal, and sometimes the blinker would blink on the dash, but not make any noise. Often one or more of the tail lights wouldn't work (more often at night when headlights were on) even though the bulb was good. I'd remove the bulb and put it back in and it would work fine.......for a little while. Any of this sound familiar? If so look into your bulb sockets where the contacts are and see if they look all burned and "crispy". If they do, I'd replace the sockets. This is usually a lingering problem from the overall ground problems and will not happen again once you've taken care of those crappy little black boxes.
All of these are common problems that everyone here has had to deal with on the early trucks.
My '04 has about 230,000 miles on it and runs and drives great. Hope yours lasts as long as you enjoy driving it.
WELCOME!!
