whats up guys, just changed the oil and i cant reset the oil life feature on the DIC. think it may have something to do with the aftermarket HU and the "digital interface unit" i had to use to retain the chime feature?

Just put the key to run, let off of the parking brake, close the doors, and hit the gas pedal a bunch of times. When it beeps it is reset.

I have the same problem, any help? maybe putting back the stock radio for the reset and then replacing by the aftermarket HU. I'll try tomorrow.

From page 5-19 of my owner's manual:
To reset the Engine Oil Life system:
1. With the engine off, turn the ignition to ON/RUN.
2. Press and release the stem in the lower center
of the instrument cluster until the OIL LIFE
message is displayed.
3. Once the alternating OIL LIFE and RESET
messages appear, press and hold the stem
until several beeps sound. This confirms that
the oil life system has been reset.
4. Turn the key to LOCK/OFF.

I've never seen an oil life message appear on my truck when pressing the stem. I just use my trip meter.
