Lets get right to it. Hi, and thanks in advance. The trucks an 04 colorado single cab 5cyl 2wd. The TAN wire from the PAX lock SOLENOID to the DRV SWITCHBOARD has no continuity. I checked the GRY and have full continuity. I see in the chilton both GRY and TAN wires are directly ran between the DRV and PAX lock SOLENOIDS after the DRV SWITCHBOARD, but through where and what connectors? The truck recently had a carpet kit installed, but the lock wires seem to go up and around the dash, nowhere near the carpet splice "S303" (?) mentioned elsewhere. there could be a break in eiher jamb BULKHEAD, and I have pulled away the boots to find nothing of interest yet. To me, the next step is to pull both doors completely off, check continuity through each door at the connectors, and if theyre good there, start chasing the wires under the dash. But where and through what connectors do they go? Besides the door BULKHEADS, SWITCHBOARDS, and SOLENOIDS, is there anywhere else the lock wires are connected across the truck? The bcm has nothing to do with this, i am confident of that.

I resolved the problem. The problem was a broken tan colored wire going through the conduit boot between the driver door and the cab of the truck. It requires removal of the door. I got good at doing it by myself but its alot better with help. I found that after pulling the boot off the cab side, unplugging the door from the bulkhead is harder than pulling the bulkhead out of the cab side, loosening the connectors from the bulkhead, pulling slack out the front of the bulkhead toward you and unplugging the connectors there. You will need to probe the wires inside the door or find wiring diagrams to ensure youve got the right wire, mine was tan and ran straight from pasgr door to drvr door.
