Plastidip wheels (face only)

i was going to post this in the official plastidip thread but it hasn't seen action in quite sometime. I scored a killer deal on some duratracs (285/60r20), i ended up with only 3 tires (that is a completely different story) but i'm upgrading from 18's to 20's. i've found a set of wheels that i like and are dirt cheap (they are a new company). Brute offroad, they make fuel wheel clones, anyways they only make black with machined face wheels and i want an all black wheel. Would it be possible to paint just the face a gloss black? and if so what are the best methods? and anybody that likes those wheels they can be had on ebay for 20x9 -12 offset for $599 free shipping

Tape it off and spray it. You're not done yet?

i haven't purchased the wheels yet, i just got the tires yesterday.
do you think the intricacy of the design would cause problems?
i've done some very basic plastidipping and it came out ehhh manily because i didnt know what i was doing.
Is the cost of powdercoating out of the question? Being that the wheels are brand new, prep would be easy, and could cut the costs down.

yes it is, i can buy other wheels for alot cheaper than to have these recoated.
locally i can get ultra bolts 20x10 for $675 but would have to run wheel spacers up front for a total of about $725 or 20x9 havoc 103 but it has milled windows for $650

Those top ones are nice. But yeah taping them off would be easy.
Good looking wheels just the way they are imo!
Nice thing is you can always pull off the PD if you get bored of them.:drinking28:
