My roll pan is off getting painted now but before when it was on the truck I screwed the plate in but after awhile the two top corners started rubbing. And ideas what I can put there so it's not rubbing the new paint?

Maybe put some weatherstripping around the edge of the plate? I think I have some stuff that is a rubber u channel type stuff that you can put around the edge of the plate. Or maybe move it down a bit?

I put some washers on the fasteners, between the plate and the body on my truck.

The weather stripping works good. Stick it to the back of the plate.

Just find some rubber o - rings and stack them. Put them on the bolts behind the plate to stand it off. Or weather strip the backside of the plate. It will still rub, but not metal to metal.
