Today was "2'sday" for my truck. '04 extended cab auto 3.5. Running great, does everything I need it to do. I don't see needing to replace this thing for another 222,222 miles. Great truck, and I'm very pleased with it. I got 312,000 out of my last Chevy truck and the only thing that killed it was my son rolling it over a few times when moving home from college.

God I love your truck. If I had the v8, and the build skill you do, I'd probably do that instead of buying a dedicated adventuring vehicle.

Thanks for the kind words. It has taken me a decade to get it to the state its in now. It takes years to build a truck.

I see alot of build threads (mostly on Coloradofans) where guys buy a 50K truck and within a few months dump another 10K worth of overlanding stuff on it. Those guys are either rich or financially irresponsible -- or both.

I'll still be camping long after those guys have sold their truck at a loss and moved on to another fad.

I recommend building slow and out of necessity, when it comes to camping trucks.

At the farm with my 2006 Colorado extreme, extended cab with L5. Have driven it for eight years and over 210,000, still tight and cruses nicely.
