Hi!
No idea if this was mentioned earlier. Happened upon this thread while looking into the same issue. I was looking through radio settings and saw one that says max volume at start up (or similar to that). I then remembered I'd muted the radio and then turned volume up having forgotten it was muted. I changed the setting to a bit higher, turned the volume down some then turned the vehicle off, and removed the key. I opened and closed the door for the heck of it too. Once the lights and everything shut down, I restarted the vehicle. All sounds worked fine again.

I do not wish to bring an old thread to life, but since I'm a the new owner of an old Colorado that has these same radio issues, I was wondering if anyone ever figured out the cause.

Some errors may arise, my radio still plays normally.
