I have a small spot on my zq8 wheels where the clear and paint has come off.I used alittle polish and it really has a shine to it.My question is,how hard would it be to remove the clear and paint.

If you've never polished raw aluminum to a polished finish, you can't imagine how much work you are in for, it's a lot more work than just rubbing some polish on it once you strip the paint off.

I have done some wheels before that had clear coat on them but no paint.I spent many hrs polishing the wheels. They looked like chrome when done right.A drill with buffer pad and a dremel for the tight areas

That will make quick work of it for you....just make sure you have a plan.

Some either Sharkhide or zoop seal to protect your freshly polished finish

so? did it work? I have seen a lot of Tahoes with alum polished rims that in my opionon look better than chrome rims
The Tahoe LTZ wheels still have a clear coat on them.
