Product Analysis
Recently, I had the pleasure of becoming a customer of MBRP. Let me start by saying that I am 100% pleased with their customer service, knowledge, and enthusiasm for our trucks. I am happy to know that us 355 owners have such a devoted performance shop on our side.

Installation Analysis
Installation was a breeze. MBRP configures their systems in 4 parts which really simplifies installation and fit. I used a vehicle lift at my local shop to install the system. The vehicle lift allowed me to extract the OEM cat back system out in one piece (the lift allowed the suspension to completely unload). For the at home DIY install: A jack, jack stands, and/or ramps will also work to install this system but you will need to make one cut on the OEM exhaust pipe to extract it (following the MBRP instructions).

Overall Opinion
I have put on about 2k miles on the exhaust system so far and I am loving the new attitude my 3.7L has. The sound is as close to perfect as it could be. Not too loud and not too quiet... The dB and sound gets better as I put more miles on the system!

Before, OEM GM Cat back

Got the entire OEM system out in one piece

After, MBRP T304SS Side Swept

Sound Clip at idle/slight rev

Re: REVIEW: MBRP T304SS Side Swept 2008 Canyon Z71 3.7L

I love to see happy MBRP customers.

When they asked to have my truck up at their facilities to re-do their exhaust to better fit the Colorado's, raised and lowered, I was flattered.

I switched from my Magnaflow, to the MBRP, and could not be happier.

You're right, the customer service is definitely amazing. When I go there (been there a few times) they treat you like one of your own. Their great customer service is not just over the phone.

Excellent review Canyon08Z71.

Does this system fit with the spare tire still under the truck?
Yes, the spare tire fits with this particular MBRP system.

I took the spare off to extract the OEM exhaust out in one piece during the installation. That is why you do not see it in the photos... I have the spare tire back on the truck w/ MBRP.

Sounds great I wish I would have waited and got MBRP instead of just a muffler swap

Has there been any noticable power gains or mpg changes with that kit?

Would love to get a one like that, but I don't think it would clear my receiver, and I really don't want to change it. For now, I'm still looking at options.

Yes, I notice the gains... MBRP did a before and after dyno to illustrate the gains. It was 10+ HP on the 3.7L... I get much better MPG now (upping my octane, HP increase mods, and tuning) then I did when it was OEM from the GMC lot.

AFR is too rich from flooring it WOT under no load... It does not do that under load.
