Product Analysis SuperModulation LEDs for the tail lights, made with the same attention to detail as everything else SuperModulation does.
Installation Analysis Installation was pretty straight forward, I recommend having the lights turned on when you install the bulbs, as installing them backwards will result in them not lighting up. If the lights are on, it's much easier to catch then finding out later that half of them are backwards after reassembling everything.
Overall Opinion I got these LEDs to replace a set of SuperBrightLEDs (45-LED) bulbs that I've had since the last truck. I wasn't horribly impressed with the SuperBrightLEDs fit-and-finish and, since I wanted to tint my tails, was looking for something a bit brighter.
Overall, the SuperModulation bulbs are of a higher assembly quality and are a bit brighter in running light mode, which is impressive as they have less LEDs (I counted 36) than the SuperBrightLEDs, however they are a larger module. Sadly, in a side-by-side comparison, it turns out that the SuperBrightLEDs are just that when the brake/turn signals are brought into play. The difference in brightness in this mode is noticeable.
That said, there is nothing wrong at all with the SuperModulation LEDs, and I'd recommend them as they fit a lot better in the sockets and seemed to be better assembled. While they aren't as bright as the SuperBrightLEDs when the turn signals and brake lights are brought into play, they are still plenty bright enough for every day use. I don't think you can go wrong with either set.
I've heard that some people have had issues with SuperBrightLED bulbs failing prematurely, but I can't speak to that.
Crappy audio quality, left side is SuperBrightLEDs and right side is SuperModulation LEDs
