You can't get them separate. I tried contacting everyone about it and no luck. Either buy new steps or make them work is what they all said. I personally just bolted mine down with stainless hardware and they hold very well. I'll get you a pic in just a min

I used PL Premium construction adhesive to glue mine back down (mine were not completely off, just the ends lifted up) Stuff works on EVERYTHING.

The knockoffs (like liquid nails) don't work, but PL is flawless every time and impervious to road salt, chemicals and oil/gasoline. Bonds wood, metal, concrete, plastic, some foams, etc.

Don't get any on your skin, you will not get it off for 2-3 weeks.

Been rock solid for almost a year, and the worst winter in 5 hasn't touched them.
The black tube or yellow tube?

Loctite PL Premium Polyurethane Construction Adhesive from Loctite Adhesives

That one.

I tried the liquid nails version and it didn't stick to the metal OR the plastic, came right up.

I prepped the surfaces with chlorine free brakcleen.
It went to the home page. LOL. It's all good. I'm headed to home depot now.
