This seems to be a popular fan on here. Had mine since about 2018. QUESTION: On my 06, should this efan have 2 speeds? The thread describes a low and a high which explains the 1500-4500 CFM variance. I only get one speed even while climbing a mountain at 7000 ft elevation and coolant temps at 225 in 100 degree weather. Certainly doesn't sound anything close to 4500 cfm. Runs the same speed as when it just switches on for the AC which I am assuming is low. Am I missing something here or does it just run one speed no matter the coolant temp and that's it? If you have personal experience with one, let me know. Thank you!

When I had my tune done in 2011, the tuner was very specific in telling me that he had set the tune up so that it would be compatible with an e-fan if I added it in the future (never have). I wonder if there is something in the electronics that needs to be set so that the system will adjust the fan speed as required.

The 04-06 trucks do not use the pcm to control the efan. I believe 07+ do so that may make more sense in that situation. Thanks for your input.

It runs off it's own PCM and sensor. You can run a wire to the ECU to allow control from the ECU tune program if you like. I have one on each of my trucks. Pretty much sounds like they run the same speed all the time except when they pulsing a bit shutting down.

Interesting. What years are yours. Mine is an 06 and I believe does not have the capability to run off the ECU.
