Re: SuperSkidz Skid Plates

One question I cannot remember the answer to. These obviously work with a stock Z71, but what about a lifted one? These work with 2" or even 4" lifted Z71s still?

Re: SuperSkidz Skid Plates

The 2" lift doesn't change anything. The Rancho, Skyjacker, etc lifts have a drop bracket in the front that might have an effect on the fit of the first and second skid plates.

Re: SuperSkidz Skid Plates

I have a Skyjacker 4" suspension lift, I found it was easier to install the differential skid plate then if I had a stock Z71 / Z85 that requires the lower control arm "L" brackets.

I will make a special skid plate package for those with the Skyjacker 4" suspension lift that will include all the additional bolts and spacers needed at no additional cost.

SuperSkidz Front skid plate, Differential Skid Plate and Transfer Case Skid Plate installed on a Skyjacker 4" suspension lift.

Differential Skid Plate mounted to a Skyjacker cross member.

Easy access to the oil drain.

Installed the transfer case skid plate.

Ah okay. Yeah, don't know why I didn't even think about the fact the 2" lift doesn't change anything haha. And thanks for the info on the 4" fitment...

Re: SuperSkidz Skid Plates

Thanks Rangerbob!

For the Differential skid plate I recommend getting a remote oil drain.

I purchased my FUMOTO valve kit from Lubrication Specialist. Shop
Fumoto Oil Drain Valve F-107N
Manufacturer » Fumoto
Detail » Fumoto F-107N oil drain valve with nipple. 12mm-1.75 Thread

Fumoto Valve Drain Hose
Manufacturer » Fumoto
Detail » Use the hose on Fumoto valves with the nipple so you can drain oil into any kind of a container with no mess.

Safety Clip
Manufacturer » Fumoto
Detail » Even thought the Fumoto valve has a locking detent position, many feel better when using this safety clip.

Re: SuperSkidz Skid Plates

I have the same setup as Canyon08Z71, transfer case in the future (XMAS!).
These are very well made and super easy to install, some of the best money I have put into
the truck.
James is one of the best to do business with, heck of a nice guy!:salute:

Ok, I have checked around for the answer, with no luck.

I have an '07 Z85 2WD, I have stock skid plates, one plastic (now broken) plate from the radiator to the first crossmember, then metal skid from that crossmember all the way back to the tailshaft of the trans.

This looks like it will fit my truck, will it ?
