I think its about time I finally replaced my factory door crap

any suggestions?

I don't want to go to overboard so nothing real pricey kinda thinking maybe alpine or pioneer speakers

front doors are components and rear are regular

also I really dont want to have to run a amp for these

not a big fan of alpine. pioneers good. but I like JL and Kenwood products.
I would spend the extra money to amp them. Makes a big differance IMO

Used to do this for a living... 20 years ago. Take your cleanest full range recording (I used ye old "Graceland") hit the high end home audio for an ear full of audio goodness and purchase the car speaks which show any likeness to any portion of what you heard. Don't go by another car's sound as most are closer to a really really really loud boom box than a B&W or Quad audio orgasm.

Always go by your own hearing. Years of playing took away a chunk of my high end so what I would hear as flat would be excessive in the 6000+ range to most others. I have friends who are worse of than I am from years of grinding welds and what sounds stellar to them is shrill as hell to me.
