How big of a tire can i go before i start to scrub or need a lift. It is on a 2008 GMC Canyon 2WD with the factory 15 inch wheels.

I went 235/70/15 and it was fine but I think it was at full lock going left would rub slightly but right wouldn't do a thing lol and that's with a 2in lift. You might be able to pull 30s without any elevation. Someone more verse will chime in.
are you talking street or off road ? i run 255x45x18 and 275x35x18 rear. 25" to 26" tall
z-rated, handles great
Off road. Even though it is a 2wd I still go off the beaten path...lol I just want something with attitude and grip on a bigger tire. I know what i want but just need to know the max size i can go before lifting is required.
30x9.5r15 fit perfect. Little rub a full lock but not a trouble. Depend on wheel backspace
One more question, I'm still kind of a newbie to tire sizes and fitments. I have a set of 16X7.5 inch wheels. If i mounted those on my truck, what would be the max without a lift. I cant find any info on the web.
Depends on the tire size and backspace of the wheels
Off road version 2wd, or not?
Or better yet, please specify the STOCK size tire for your vehicle.
2WD, no lift. 225/75/15 is factory, but it has 235/75/15 on it when i bought the truck
Okay, the non offroad version then. The off road version would be a different answer.
