Ok I am getting tires so I can put my titans on....I have asked this before i think, but it is early and I dont think well in the morning...
What size tire should I run on my Titans?
extreme tire size 235/50/18
plus size (according to tire rack) 235/45/18
or a shorter sidewall size.. 225/45/18
thanx guys....

the tire rack "plus" size would have a shorter sidewall, and the other you post ed would be a more narrow tire. tire sizes read width/sidewall/rim size and if im not mistaken the sidewall is liake a % of the width or an aspect ratio.

^It is an aspect ratio. A 225/45/18 would be shorter than a 235/45/18.

You've got a 3" + ZQ8 drop right? Do you want a tire taller, shorter, or the same height as your current one? I would assume the same or shorter with that much drop. I think Rudy (RRCN) is running a 225/40/18 but I don't know how low you are compared to him.

235/45/18 would be similar size to your current tires. which I think you'd want to stick with.

225/40/18 is a 25" tire...I think it looks a bit odd with the large wheel wells we have.

I agree, but being low is more important to some people. I guess it's just personal preference. I've considered stepping up to a 27" tall tire when these need replaced in a couple months, but I haven't seen any tires that I want in the right size so I'll probably stick with a 255/45/17.

A good set of 33's will fill in the wheel well quite nicely. :D

actually...

Z85's w/steel wheels have 27.1" tires
Z85 w/alloy wheels have 28.3" tires
Z85 4x4 have 29.1" tires
ZQ8 w/17" wheels had 26.1" tires
ZQ8 w/18" & xtreme had 27.1" tires

I've got 245/45-17's on mine...I love 'em. 255/35-18's wouldn't be too bad if you wanna run a big. I'll be stepping up to 20's with 255/35-20...I just like the look of a wider tire.

Yeah....so? :kiki:
Just stating a fact, everyone has their own preference. It looks great slammed that low but I could never do, I'd break something because of the way I drive. Low & Slow = not for me. :D
