I don't know much about torsion bars. I think its what i have... i have a Z71 2wd but are torsion bars better or worse for off-road. i've heard people try to get away from torsion.

i believe they are better...if you look at you truck and see 2 long iron bars running from the crossmember to the weals you have torsion bars, if you see coils behing your front wheels you dont...

i have heard that too but i really don't know the difference of the two when it comes to off-road performance. maybe just the lift kits

torsion bars are used because the coils would get in the way of the front axles. Are they better than coils? probably not
