Tpm

I have an 07 4WD 5cyl auto., serv, TPM signal started going off a few months ago. I had new tires installed at Goodyear and they checked it and found nothing wrong. I am still getting the message and have reset according to the manual myself but still got the light. Went back to Goodyear yesterday because the light has to be on for them to check it and they showed all tires monitors to be good, got a green light on the tester. He checked the tire pressure also and was good. Since then the light still comes on. I should add that in comes on during the first drive in the morning but not after that. Goodyear guy said if it still comes on I'll have to take it to the dealer. What the hell is going on? Does the spare have a monitor too?

Yes, the spare has a monitor too. I got a low pressure warning in December while on the road to Tennessee for Christmas and when I checked all 4 tires, the pressure was fine. I crawled under the truck to check the spare, and it was low. I filled the spare to the proper pressure and the low pressure warning went away.
NOT calling you a liar, but I just called Chevy service and the service manager said the spare does not have a TPM. Of course HE might be wrong. I'll check my spare though and thanks for the response.
If you are getting a SERV TPMS on the DIC you can also try the steps here.

I was able to perform the short procedure at the bottom of the 1st post. It resolved my SERV TMPS and LOW TIRE PRESSURE messages.
Since my last post 10Canyon53 I looked at my spare, I didn't remember that it is a full size on the same stock wheels I have, so it must have a TPM. You are right I'm sure. Anyway the pressure in it was good.
No option for tpm on spare for 2008, so it may have been offered in the latter models. With the 2008 tpm technology it would not be doing anything under the truck anyway.
Coco was there any remedy to this? Im in the process of getting new wheels and tires and tpms sensors for my Colorado and I was wondering if Goodyear had put in the wrong sensors on yours. I've been dealing with this issue on my wife's town & country for awhile where the tire installer insists it's the vehicle and not the sensors they installed. Yes the sensors work but they are the wrong ones because they won't communicate with the vehicle. I've had them reset the system twice where yes it makes the light go off for a week them comes right back. I got robbed once and not about to have it happen again. Sad to say the t&c still has the wrong sensors and tired of getting nowhere with them and hell if I'm gonna pay the dealer over a $100 minimum shop hour fee to tell me the vehicles systems ok and that it's the sensors for the tire shop to do anything for me.

Yes, I went to my go to mechanic and HE tested all the TPM's with the device he had and there was a bad one. He replaced it and it has been good since . As for the dealer and Goodyear, I guess incompetent.
