Re: (Unnamed) build thread

I'm gonna go thru and add currently done mods to the first post sometime the next week but I'm staring the search for an axle for my axle swap/rear disk conversion. I'll be swapping in a Dana d44 from a Isuzu rodeo so far average price on the axle in my area is around $150 so that's gonna make this a cheap swap. Possibly free if I sell my axle. Will post more and hopefully pics of new axle soon

Re: Uncanny build thread

Rear brakes squeeking on drivers side so I pull it apart to investigate and find this axle seal is leaking for the second time. Shoes are soaked and everything is just a mess. In guessing that the bearing on that side is going. Contemplating what to do considering an axle swap is in my near future

Re: Uncanny build thread

Got my intake tube temporarily installed Auto part Engine Vehicle Car Fuel line

As soon as o get some green paint and black couplers it will be permanent at which time the red couplers will be up for grabs. I got my coolant flushed out and a small coolant leak at the thermostat fixed. New rad hoses at the same time. Also cleaned the ptb and maf while I had it apart. I'm nearing that hundred thousand mile mark so ill be updating with more maintenance as I get too it. Gonna order rear wheel bearings and seals since I have one leaking and " oiling up my brakes" not good

Re: Uncanny build thread

Well after driving to work and back I noticed an immediate difference the motor is louder now but also seems to hold overdrive longer
It holds all gears to a much lower rpm before down shifting now but it seems to have a vibration somewhere now under the hood

Re: Uncanny build thread

The asking price was 8995 for it 2006 reg cab 2.8 auto with 55000. My trad was a old ford ranger that had been rolled and had a blown tranny so to them wasn't worth much. They told the bank the price was 12995 and that I gave them 2 grand down so the price I paid was 10995
Which got me a decent rate and payments considering it was mt first vehicle purchase.
