Well I swapped coils from 2 to 1 and the misfire moved so I went ahead replaced the coil and the misfire is gone.

Took off my bed cover yesterday to find that all of the welds on the back of the bed at the top were broke. Today I welded it back up and cleaned it up a little. It's not done yet but it's better and more secure now

So this is a thing that happened today.


I m thinking it was the dreaded passlock but I was so flustered that I didn't look to see if the light is on.

After the tow truck dropped it off at my work, it started right up.

How irritating is that?
Passlock is an ill-conceived bit of silliness.
Well worth the cost to have it edited out of the PCM.

The thing that sucks is I have a tune. Its on the other pcm I have. I'm using a factory pcm currently.

Been a while since I've been on here but I got a new project in the works.

I'm gonna do factory power windows and locks and set it up for factory keyless entry. Picked up most of the parts from a member who was parting out a truck

Well I'm finally back to this project. Just picked up new window regulators and now it's time to start the tedious work of wiring.

I happened across a wrecked crew cab that I was able to get door panels, dash and dash harness from. The harness is damaged but I am able to remove just the part of the harness that runs door to door and to fuse box / bcm. Got the passenger side door together. Gonna try to button it up this weekend. Pictures to follow
