Sorry to revive an old topic that you finish/closed out over a year ago, but I'm committing to getting a snorkel now after getting muddy water into my airbox and air filter this summer 🤣 luckily it stayed juuust below the inlet hose to the engine. But that was way too close for my comfort. I'm ready to pull the trigger on it from Ebay, but wanna make sure I got everything I need before ordering. Do you pics of the whole snorkel setup, like inside the fender and attaching to the airbox? I hear the fitment takes a little work. Were there any parts you needed that weren't included in the kit, like rubber pipes, adapters, clamps, etc?
I don't have any pics of inside the fender but it is pretty straight forward. The template did actually place everything correctly and if your air box is still stock I do not think you will need anything that doesn't come with the kit supplies wise. When trimming the fender flare my advise is measure carefully, trim a little bit, repeat about 100 times. It is really easy to trim off too much.

Come to think of it, I do recommend having some silicone handy. The two halves of the assembly will not have a water tight seal inside the fender otherwise.

All the extra weight from this build had the Timbren helper springs sitting down on the axle, so I installed a set of Monroe MA764 air shocks today. I regained a couple of inches of clearance between the the helper springs and the axle and the ride is much smoother now, especially off-road. I ran independent air lines to cut down on the body roll from having so much weight up high.

I ran those same shocks for many years. They were good. Nice choice. 👍🏻

Btw - looks like your jounce bumper is missing.

While I was out of town on a business trip this week my wife took my truck to the beach with one of our daughters, our son, daughter-in-law and grandson. She has now pronounced the truck as the "best beach vehicle ever"

Finally took it camping off my property! We went to the Adventure Vehicle Expo in Stark, FL. Had to set up in the rain, which made things more interesting, but everything worked as designed.

A couple of repairs I had to make before the trip: A rear U-Joint started squeaking so I replaced both on the rear drive shaft. At 162,000 miles they were due for replacement. The Harbor Freight solar panels I bought were working well, but the Harbor Freight solar charge controller I bought with them was junk. It constantly went into alarm and overcharged the batteries....to the point where it killed them.....although to be fair, they were 5 years old and had been running the trolling motor in my boat until now. I bought a Renology solar charge controller with a bluetooth adapter so that I can monitor it from my phone and a temperature probe so that it can adjust the charging method based on temperature. I also replaced the batteries with new 100ah deep cycle marine batteries. They ran all my lights and the refrigerator overnight and only discharged to 50%. Once the sun came up, they were back to 100% by Noon.
I have a business trip to NYC this week, but next week I am on vacation and we plan to explore and camp in the Talladega National Forest.

When are you going to head up to my neck of the woods? I’ll show you around the Mountain State and share some of my favorite places.
I'll get it on the schedule at some point. Next week we are taking some furniture up to my daughter just East of Birmingham. Taking advantage of the trip to get some camping in.
