So I'm not meaning to make this a "want to buy" although I guess it is implied. I can't find one used so said screw I'll call the dealer. Turns out it's only like 70-75 bucks but they don't stock it. They only way for them to order it is if I have Vin # on a truck the pedal actually belongs to. So don't know if anyone else is stuck with trying to tracked a pre 07 clutch assembly or if you all know of another way. I'm working on an 09 canyon crew cab 3.7 and putting in a 2012 4.8 with a t56.

It has to be pre-07 so it works with the wiring. I'm working with 04colyZQ8, I don't know the science behind just that's what he said.

OK, well I'll do more searching. That's much farther than where I was. Thanks for the help! That was fast.

When I run into a dealer that absolutely refused to help without a VIN, I'll look up the vehicle I want in Autotrader and use that VIN.

Easier, still, use an online service like gmpartsdirect. They won't hassle you for a VIN and it shows up at your door.

I never include a VIN in an order, if I am sure that the part number is what I want. If a seller won't take an order without a VIN, look someplace else.

So I called back the dealer only this time with the p/n and confirmed it's all the parts. So gmpartsdirect it is. Thanks for all the help.

Yeah my dealer wants the VIN too, but I know the guys in parts now. I just give them that part number and I'm golden. They now know I have a weird build with a combination of 355 Parts :mjb:

So I guess I'll post in the want to buy section now. Just got this email.

Hello,

Thank you for your order. Part number

15108400 is discontinued and no longer available from GM. This part is now removed from your order. Please let us know if you wish to proceed with the remainder of the order.

Your order is on hold pending your response.

Thank you,

Ashley

On a google search, I see there are 35 dealers with that part supposedly in stock at varying prices.

Good luck and hope you complete your project soon. I'd like to see it!!
