V8 swap headers question

Hi, Anyone ever used those for a LS Swap?

I have these...

Apart from the fact that they are Vband and the other ones are 3 bolt flange they look a lot similar. How do they fit?
If you trim the drivers motor mount correctly, they fit excellent. If you are like me and don't trim it enough, they still fit just fine, but you might have to ding the bottom of the number tube to clear, which would be the case with those Amazon ones. I went with Speed Engineering because they are a known Company. Not an Amazon vendor.
It is a good thing that it's already trimmed then!

That side of the mount is not the issue, it is those ears on the frame side that will hit. They need to be cut at an angle equal to the front. I left too much sticking out towards the frame by about a eighth of an inch. I should have just rounded the top the same as the motor mount shape is.

Are these speed engineering headers welded all the way around the outside flange area or are they like the Chinese headers on eBay with only a tack weld at the top and bottom flange area?

They're probably well worth the extra cost because the ones on eBay are cheaply manufactured imo.

What are you guys using for a stainless Y-downpipe after the LS conversion headers?
I bought this, Also From Speed Engineering,


I have to shorten the crossover pipe to make it fit just right between the Torsion bars, but that is simple to do. I bought these 45 degree pipes to go from the header to the y pipe from ebay: This seller is no longer available, but there are other just like them similarly priced.
