(2006 GMC Canyon) Any suggestions at this point will help the Rear differential fill plug is just fully rounded. Also where to buy a new fill plug would be nice. Thanks
You may have to drill it and use a large screw extractor or just drill it out enough twist it out. There are several filler plugs for GM differentials. This is one that is supposed to fit 2006. If it matches yours, you can use the numbr to search: Genuine GM 444788 - Plug,Differential Carrier Fill

Yeah, I found this drain plug on Rock Auto and its a GM Genuine so I think it will work I'll try to drill it to see if it will spin because apparently it was rounded years ago but I couldn't tell as rust made it look good enough.

Stick a short bolt on the rounded off portion and weld it to what's left of the plug. Then you can use a wrench to turn it out.

Also, heat is your friend.
I would try this but unfortunately, I don't have access to welding tools, though this does seem like a good idea ill keep it in mind if I can't get it out the other way Cart mentioned.
