Located above the spare tire, shaped like a cereal box but smaller, hose(s) connected on the driver’s side, maybe a valve or solenoid on the passenger’s side.
Looks like a hose from the rear differential may connect to it.

Did not think of that. I would have expected it to be in the engine bay.

That little valve there is the source of common emission fault codes. It likes to get stuck open. Sometimes by tapping it with a small hammer will unstick it, temporarily.
