I have a 2007 Colorado 4 wheel drive crew cab and currently have the original rims with 265/75r15 tires but I'm looking to get new rims probably 16x8.Whats the max tire size I could go without any rubbing. Would a 265/70r16 work?

Yep, or even 265/75-16.

Are you positive the tire size you mentioned is stock? That is stock on the Z71, but not stock on a Z85 (but could have been upgraded).

Well the 265/75r15 i have on now are previous upgrades from the stock tires. But good to know a 265/70r16 will work. Found a good deal on some.

I had to ask about the tire size since I do not have any vehicle history and it's a common concern. Not enough vehicle info to make exact decisions.
However in this case, those two tires are basically the same size. 70 series on a 16" rim is nearly identical to a 75 series on a 15" rim. Considering width is not changing.

You'll be set.

Bringing this back from the dead... I had a similar question, upgrading tires for a 2005 z85 4x4. Stock tires on now, wanting to go up to a 265/70r16 on new rims with about 4.5 backspacing. Would this rub without a lift? Torsion bars have not been cranked at all. If this would fit does it look stuffed under the truck?
