What tune is out there that will net me the most HP and TQ? Is 16hp really the top gain? That's the most that can be squeezed out of these I5's?

Whoever told you 16 hp is full of shit. A gutted manifold will give you 10 hp. That's already been proven. I've got a 2.9 and kept up with my buddy's 3.7 after my tune. I heard a really good tune will give you like 50 hp or some shit like that

it's best to get the supporting mods done first then tune
I gained about 30 hp on a basically stock 3.7.

"Best" is usually a dyno tune provided the person tuning knows what they are doing. Dyno tune is the only way to know exactly how much hp you are gaining
Road tunes are much better than dyno tunes
And how much hp you gain is based about what you want your tuner to do. If you want hp, you can gain between 20-50 typically. If you want mpg, you won't gain as much hp but get 2-3mpg gained.
Typically a dyno tune includes a road tune... at least mine did

HP is what I'm going for. What are the TQ gains to be had?
If you have all torque management removed, I would imagine it would be close to the hp gain. Someone who has had or would have to have a dyno to get that number tho
Removing the torque management alone is a huge difference,

Supermod is finalizing a 93 octane tune for my truck.......its going to be sick
I am wanting to know the best overall ecm tune please any help i am new here
If you're searching for a mail order PCM tune, Jeremy at Lime-Swap or SuperMod are both highly recommended.

@IrishZ71, and @Tylerross9, read the threads in this Tuning section. So many people here have put years of research at your fingertips so you can make the most informed decision for your truck, mods, driving style, and desired gains. Please, don't just pop in here and expect people to give you information if you haven't done your part.

Good luck.
what are the major differences in the 2 I have been looking to get a dyno tune but cant find anyone in my area i am lifted and feel like my truck is starving for power and i would like better mpg especially on the interstate have the k&n cai but is there anything else i need to do before the tune not really interested in exhaust unless i find something that has a very deep and not ricey tone
