05 GMC Canyon Crew Cab Z71 Off-Road pkg

I've been towing 2,700 lb Trailer for work for the last 5 years and the leaf springs have worn down to the common "w" shape. I think I've lost about 2", Which causes a rougher ride and I'm pretty sure the slip yoke is smacking up against the transmission tail shaft, causing a ticking sound when going over bumps.

So I've looked up OEM replacement leafsprings, (about $120 ea.)
I guess my question is , Is there any thing i can do to reinforce them for towing to prevent them from wearing down so quickly?
As of now, the plan is to purchase new replacement leaf springs & crank the torsion bar, don't think I need new shocks, not sure about shackels, AAL's, or any other suspention parts.

ANY thoughts and opinions on would be greatly appreciated.

Air bags, add a leaf or helper springs.

If their worn down real bad i'd say you'll need to replace them because the AAL would be more beneficial on a set of leafs that were in the proper U shape. You could also try to put some 63" leafs under your truck which a few people have been thinking about doing.

Air bags should be on any truck towing period in my mind. No offense I even put them on my Yukon as well. Its extra insurance and a better ride. Yes your leafs are shot you replace them... If your rotors warped and cracked would you continue to stop with them or get replacements? Its maintenance bro to replace things that brake over time thats what keeps a car/truck working correctly. Heck im pulling my transmission for a rebuild next month just because its not shifting the way it once did after 140k.

i'd say replace them, with either oem or skyjacker (if you want the claimed 2.5" lift). then i'd get the air helper bags.

shocks, if they are the factory ones, then replacing them probably wouldnt hurt

I understand maintence very well. I was just wondering weather the AAL would suffice. being that I am not a suspension expert.
I've noticed the tranny shift difference aswell...

Thanks for all the info everyone...
