Re: How-to Install EZDOWN Tailgate Damper mod

Sweet! You will have to show this off on Saturday!
Thanks guys for the kind words. This is an old mod, about six months old (rev 1.0).
The problem with this mod is it takes away cargo space, example 4ft. wide plywood or sheetrock, otherwise this is a must have mod.

Re: How-to Install EZDOWN Tailgate Damper mod

James, you offer the tailgate brackets right? If so, I'll be hitting you up in a bit for some, whenever I get around to ordering the damn E-Z Down haha.
I'm not offering the bracket yet. I think we need another revision for this mod and have Ron make the lower bracket for us.

Re: How-to Install EZDOWN Tailgate Damper mod

I cannot believe that EZDOWN does not make one for the colorado/canyon....
When you start the bracket sales let me know, and as always, great write up!
Thanks Kevin!:high5:

Come on James, you actually have to unlock it. I expected a remotely controled tailgate from you!

J/K its pimp as hell

Who leaked that information? :ugh: I actually do have a remote locking tailgate.
That will be in next months MTS How-to!

Glad you guys like it:cheers:

I picked up my ez-down backets from the powdercoater this morning.

I think they came out pretty nice.

I had one done in black for James, as a "thank you" for letting be borrow his rusty ass bracket to use as a guide.

The color matches perfectly.

I think Rich needs to have these kits made up and be a vendor!

If I could make the brackets myself, I would. If the interest is there, I'll talk to the guy that made them for me. If ten or so are interested it might happen. no promises though. IF it were to happen, they'd sell for $40 including s/h. I probally have them all powdercoated black.

Shit I'd be down!

If you sell them raw w/o the PC I think it would make its easier on you and the member can paint it/coat it how they please

Still a deal either way!

Maybe a feeler thread?
