I picked up a set of new take off 17in GMC Serria wheels this afternoon. I paid $425 from A-1 Truck Warehouse in Mt. Hope, Ks. They have quite a few sets of new Chevy and GMC take offs. I counted at least 7 sets in the rack at the front of the shop and there more in the back.

Yeah I know they need boring out. You should have seen the look on the guy's face when I told him that they are going on my Colorado. He tried and tried to tell me that they won't fit. Then I pull up a pic on my phone to show him a set mounted on a Colorado. He told me to bring my truck back when I get it done cause he wants to see it. :naughty:

Funny, today I spoke to a friend who has set of these in his shop. His answer, "those won't fit your truck" I sent him a pic of YOUR truck and he still says they wont fit. Gotta stop by and teach him a lesson! By the way, your truck is the reason I chose these rims. Hope that makes you fell a little better

They look awesome on your truck! I'm just getting started on modding my truck. My wife is already shaking her head cause she knows how I go nuts when it comes to modding things.

Lower! But is just gonna be slight drop, 2"/2" with springs and blocks. I don't want to do the 2"/3" cause I don't go for the level look. I like a slight rake to it.

I came home to a stack of new 17" tires on the front porch this evening. I bought a router bit to bore out the back of the wheels. My new set of chrome lug nuts are suppose to be here in the morning. So as soon as they get here I'm will get the wheels bored, tires mounted, and installed on my truck. :bdance:

I have been trying to find out if I can get some smooth center caps for these wheels since the stock ones have GMC stamped in them. I have some red bowtie decals with a black outline I would like to put on the center caps but they won't look good on these caps. I plan on changing all the bowtie badges on the truck to red.

Installed my wheels and new tires today. I almost thought I wasn't going to get to them today since that tax refund money was burning a hole in the wife's pocket. I spent most of today moving out old furniture and bring in the new furniture we bought this morning. I finally got over to my buddy's house this afternoon to use his tools and have him mount and balance the tires. But he had to leave so I had to mount and balance them myself. Now it is time to install my drop kit.

After using a few different tire calculators, I decided to go with a 235/60-17. The tires I bought are Kelly Navigator Gold Touring. My stock 15" tires were around 28" tall and Kelly spec'd these tires in this size at 28.1" tall.

I washed my truck this morning and found a empty lot to take some more better pics in the sunlight. Out driving around, I got a few looks from some other people driving Colorados. Some guy at a stop light rolled down his window and asked me where I got my wheels. :D
