So i removed my head to get the intake seat/valves fixed.
In mitchell it said to replace the harmonic balancer bolt but its discontinued at gm and shipping at rockauto is killing me 25$ of shipping for a 14$ bolt.
Does anybody know if i can reuse? Is there a way to measure it ? Like stretch limit ?
If i remember correctly i think ive reused it last time i got the head fix. now im worried about the second time.

That's a bit odd. I assume that you are referring to PN 11609792 for $ 10.42. RockAuto usually has reasonable shipping costs, unless you are looking for priority shipping. For that bolt there should be a USPS option.

This is a current discount code for RockAuto: 229128344206863084 . It's only 5%, but better than none. If you haven't used a discount code there before, look for a box marked "How did you hear about us". Copy/paste the code in that box and hit enter. Don't add any other info to the box.

There is another, often overlooked, small business that also sells some auto parts. Looks like they might have it. They can be found online at: amazon.com.

I was skeptical about this even working, but I had a long breaker bar and an impact socket, so I decided to give it a shot. The starter motor broke that bolt loose on the first try. This was on a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix with the 3.1 litre engine.
Gotta be careful here, some engines spin the other way!
