Hey Yall,

I have decided to stop thread jacking and make my own thread.

for those who did see my posts on:

http://www.355nation.net/forum/suspension-maxx/23965-coil-spacers-readylift-2.html#post1187737

I have a readylift SST kit installed on my truck right now with 2" shackles in the rear instead of 1.5". I am interested in adding another 2" or so to my lift. I was hoping to do so by adding the suspensionmaxx coil spacer @ 2" and a Tuff Country AAL at 2". Sounds like most people are at ends about wheter or not the spacer can work.

Also, I am interested in possibly adding wheel spacers, i found these on ebay:
1.25" Chevy WHEELS SPACERS 6x5.5 Canyon and Colorado - eBay (item 140502029340 end time Feb-16-11 12:00:14 PST)

and was wondering if these are good or if anyone has had problems with spacers. Also if this size will have any bolt issues.

I think lastly I am interested if I do or dont get the truck the additional 2" taller in changing out my shocks, if anyone has any part numbers and advice of shocks specifically the front strut type that would fit with or without the extra 2" I'd greatly appreciate it.

Sorry again hikeetech for jacking your thread, let the discussions continue here!
:salute:

how do you figure a spacer does not make it longer? not bein a dick i am curious. you straight up bolt on an extra piece of metal, making mounting pint to mounting point that much longer

quoted from other thread.

Your right man. In that some spacers install on the outside of teh shrut. But they make them you install on the INSIDE. They are plastic. They just install between the coil, and the stock top of shrut.

Spacers man are known to cause issues with wear n tear...yeah...they will get you out there but most agree, its not a good way to do things. But hey...parts are not exactly priced mind numbing high...so if you do it and the ball joints wear out, you can always replace them.

Yeah, I have basically the same one. But both are avalible for these trucks. Mine's not a smaxx that I am aware of...But I have seen two of our trucks with the little plastic bushing spacer installed between the coil itself, and thetop of the shrut.

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone knows if these will work:
Front: Bilstein 24-186193
Bilstein 24-186193 - Bilstein Heavy-Duty Series Shocks and Struts - Overview - SummitRacing.com

Rear:
Bilstein 24-186209
Bilstein 24-186209 - Bilstein Heavy-Duty Series Shocks and Struts - Overview - SummitRacing.com

Summit says they will but just want to clarify first.

Also, would you recommend those Bilstein's over Rancho RS5000 series?

I heard Monotube is better for offroad use and hold up better than the twin tubes. Rancho I believe is twin tube.

Thanks fellas
